Avoid downtime and deliverability headaches

Keep domains renewed and email deliverable.

We manage registrations, DNS records, and email setup so your website stays reachable and your messages land where they should.

Domains & DNS management

For OBWS-hosted sites on an active care plan:

  • Registration and renewal of one primary domain per hosted site (up to $25 per year) is included in Essential Care and higher tiers
  • Standard DNS management for that primary domain is included

Additional domains

  • Domains that exceed $25 per renewal, or any extra domains beyond your included primary, are billed at registrar cost plus a management fee
  • Additional domain management typically starts at $20/yr per additional domain, plus registrar cost (disclosed in your quote or renewal notice)

Email on your domain

We set up and support business email with providers like Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.

Setup & onboarding

  • Configure your provider and tenant basics
  • Add DNS records (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
  • Create initial mailboxes and key aliases

Ongoing admin (optional)

  • Starting at $3/mailbox/mo (minimum $15/mo)
  • Add/remove users, plus update aliases and groups
  • Basic deliverability and spam troubleshooting

If we are managing your domain today and you later decide to move it to a different registrar or provider, we will cooperate with that transfer. However, there are important responsibilities and costs that belong to you as the domain owner.

  • You retain rights to your domain. As long as your account is in good standing and the domain is eligible for transfer under registry rules, you may request that we unlock the domain and provide the transfer authorization (EPP/Auth) code.
  • You are responsible for third-party fees. Any transfer fee, renewal fee, or other charges imposed by the gaining registrar or provider are your responsibility. OBWS does not pay or reimburse those third-party costs.
  • We may charge an administrative transfer fee. To cover coordination, verification, unlocking, code generation, and DNS coordination, we may charge a reasonable one-time administrative transfer fee. If we do, we will disclose that fee before you approve the transfer.
  • All open invoices must be resolved first. Any unpaid invoices related to your website, care plan, or domain services must be paid before we complete a transfer. Once your account is current, we will proceed promptly with the transfer steps within our control.
  • You are responsible for DNS after the domain moves. Once the domain leaves our systems, your new provider becomes responsible for DNS records. We can provide a current zone export or screenshots on request, but you (or your new provider) are responsible for recreating those records and preventing downtime.
  • Timing and renewal dates matter. Domains cannot be transferred during certain lock periods or after they have expired, per registry rules. If you wait until just before a renewal deadline, you may be forced to renew with the current registrar first or risk losing the domain. Start transfers several weeks before renewal.

Primary domains bundled with our care plans remain yours, but registries and providers control their own pricing, renewal rules, and transfer policies. We will assist with the process but cannot override those policies.
